If you dog pulls (and you want to work them out) this is an awesome leash. I would not attach to their back if you want to discourage pulling, because it seems like they LOVE to get resistance training with this. I personally dont mind and enjoy tiring them out with this, its also doubles as a shock abosrber and is very strong
